Background. Another mountaineer has died after summiting mount everest, bringing the death toll for the 2019 climbing season to 11 people. The problem hasn't been avalanches, blizzards or high winds.

Since 2010, there have been 72 deaths on everest and 7,954 climbs above base camp.
The other route to everest fame is to be the oldest person (or youngest) to reach the summit and although recovering bodies from the death zone on everest is extremely dangerous, it has been done.
